About

My name is Ed Mezzetti and I am a former newspaper journalist and communications professional, who is now Assistant Minister at Christ Church South Cambs, an Anglican Mission in England (AMiE) church. I trained to be a Christian minster at Edinburgh Theological Seminary (ETS).

I am married to Cat, who is a children’s nurse. This blog is called Running the Race for two main reasons. Firstly, I am keen runner and member of Cambridge & Coleridge Athletic Club. But secondly, and more importantly, it is because this is one of the ways the Bible describes the Christian life. In Hebrews 12 v 1-2, followers of Jesus are called to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on him”.

This blog contains articles on a variety of subjects ranging from sport to theology. It is particularly designed for those who are looking into the Christian faith and what it means to follow Jesus.

I have also been the editor of The Besom in York blog. This post I wrote explains something of the charity’s vision.
